THE LIBRARIAN (ink and colored pencils on paper)
This piece is probably one of my favorites from my fantasy sketchbook. With the popularity of computer technology and the Internet today, is there someone out there missing those days when every knowledge and piece of adventure are found in a library?

The Knight Joker

Here’s a pre-Halloween treat for you guys. This is probably the first time I’ll be posting a work with some snapshots of how it was drawn. I just don’t have that patience in documenting my work in progress for my past projects. I started posting the photos above over Facebook a few weeks ago and finally here’s the final drawing, inked and colored. Enjoy!

THE KNIGHT JOKER (ink and colored pencils on paper)

I honestly can’t figured out what exactly my inspiration for this piece but seeing the final work brings me a fusion of Joker from the Batman and Hisuka from Hunter X Hunter with some touch of a fallen warrior probably from the Medieval times.

Rose Princess

ROSE PRINCESS (ink and colored pencils on paper)

A piece I created last August. This is dedicated to a friend who loves fairy tales especially “Thumbelina”. My version is a bit grown up though by age, not by size. :)

Water Emperor

WATER EMPEROR (ink and colored pencils on paper)

Hey guys! Finally here’s a new work from my sketchbook! I’m going back to the dark depths of the sea as I bring you “WATER EMPEROR” - my own interpretation of  Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea.

Hope you like this one. More works are coming! See you guys soon! :)

Back To The Circus

Hey! This might be the most boring weekend so far. It is raining outside and got some colds and headache. It seems that I am not being productive anymore. So to cut off this boredom, I created a new piece that just popped out of nowhere. Not that much in the mood today but I’m still satisfied with the result.

That’s it for now. I need to take some rest for a new day at work starts tomorrow. :)

Reunited With My Pencils (After more than a Month)

Wooh! Can’t believe it’s been more than a month since my last post. My apologies for not making any update. I’ve been very busy for the past weeks (new working place, new workmates, new lifestyle, new adjustments and many more changes).

Good thing I am back! Well despite of the busy schedule, the past month was still filled with new ideas and imaginative experiments in my art. I’ve done a bunch of new sketches and I will never let this post to be done by not sharing them to all of you.

Here’s a round-up of what happened to my sketching world for the time I’m away from this blog. (All artworks were done on the new sketchbook - in ink and colored pencil.)

INTERNET & SOCIAL MEDIA TRANSFORMATION

“INTERNET & SOCIAL MEDIA TRANSFORMATION” | A Megatron (Transformers) inspired conceptual art of the how social media over the Internet have transformed over the years.

THE BUTCHER & HIS SIDEKICK

“THE BUTCHER & HIS SIDEKICK” | Fresh meat, anyone? The butcher is in town!

CAPTIVE

“CAPTIVE” | Another fantasy artwork interpreting the epic story on how the princess was captured by the evil dragon.

MY CURED HAND

“MY CURSED HAND” | My ultimate weapon of mass destruction. Somebody asked me if they could use this as the back cover of the latest issue of the publication from my college alma mater. I hope it will be realized. *fingers’ X*

MUSIC REGENERATION

“MUSIC REGENERATION” | Reminds me with my favorite music playlist back home when I moved in to my new workplace.

GRAVEYARD SHIFT

“GRAVEYARD SHIFT” | Halloween is still very far but zombies are all over Manila throughout the year.

HOW TO DIE

“HOW TO DIE” |  Life is short so don’t make it shorter.

SOUL HUNT

“SOUL HUNT” | The mighty swordsman retires and all his hunted souls were set free.

ARMS

“ARMS” | The wings of heaven meet the hands of hell.

Woah! Can’t believe I’ve been creating so many weird sketches for the past days. Thant’s all for now folks.

By the way I’m experimenting my craft in a new medium: watercolor. So far so good and I’m satisfied with the results. I’ll keep you posted as soon as possible. :)

Fire Beneath The Blue Moon

Fire Beneath The Blue Moon

FIRE BENEATH THE BLUE MOON (ink and colored pencil on paper)

Another shared artwork from my new sketchbook. In times that I lack ideas on what to draw, a wolf/fox inspired artwork is my ultimate alternative. :) (Inspired by the Mozilla Firefox logo.)
