Aside from doodling, I also enjoy doing character design and fantasy illustrations. This particular piece is from my old sketchbook. Brings back memories. :)

FAIRY QUEST (ink and colored pencil on paper)
Another piece from the last few pages of my fantasy sketchbook. I did this last August and just completed recently. I love drawing mystical characters like monsters and fairies and this one is a special favorite. I like the effect of combining a colored background with a monochrome subject.
As my fantasy sketchbook will be ending soon. I am so happy  and excited to announce that 2013 is the year for my doodle monsters. If you like the Doodle Draw sketchbook series, you’ll definitely like the other things I’m cooking for the coming days! That’s all for now and  stay awesome everyone!

DANCE WITH A DRAGON (ink and colored pencils on paper)
Few more stretch and the year will be ending. Just like the few remaining pages of my fantasy sketchbook. This one is called “Dance With A Dragon”, my idea of how the the year of the dragon must end - full of action!

THE LIBRARIAN (ink and colored pencils on paper)
This piece is probably one of my favorites from my fantasy sketchbook. With the popularity of computer technology and the Internet today, is there someone out there missing those days when every knowledge and piece of adventure are found in a library?

The Knight Joker

Here’s a pre-Halloween treat for you guys. This is probably the first time I’ll be posting a work with some snapshots of how it was drawn. I just don’t have that patience in documenting my work in progress for my past projects. I started posting the photos above over Facebook a few weeks ago and finally here’s the final drawing, inked and colored. Enjoy!

THE KNIGHT JOKER (ink and colored pencils on paper)

I honestly can’t figured out what exactly my inspiration for this piece but seeing the final work brings me a fusion of Joker from the Batman and Hisuka from Hunter X Hunter with some touch of a fallen warrior probably from the Medieval times.

Rose Princess

ROSE PRINCESS (ink and colored pencils on paper)

A piece I created last August. This is dedicated to a friend who loves fairy tales especially “Thumbelina”. My version is a bit grown up though by age, not by size. :)

Few Updates and Works in Progress

It has been a busy and wild ride this week from work to home. So keeping up with a personal blog is just a challenge but more often rewarding. Anyway here are some few updates from my world. :)

I mentioned a week ago in a post that I’m having some tweaks on my “K” logo. Thinking of a new design is just a headache so I experimented with various ideas. My goal is to have a combination of fantasy and dark theme on it without loosing the identity of the logo. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Aside from working on the logo, I also made some random sketches during my free time but all of them are still unfinished. :) Nevertheless, here is one of them:

Work in progress - “Water Emperor” (ink on paper)

I promise to post more “finished” works soon - no definite date but that’s an assurance! Stay awesome everyone! :)
